The Bladerider Moth offers an amazing blend of speed, action and excitment. Due to its light-weight construction and advanced design, the Bladerider can lift onto its foils in 5 knots of wind. In a 20 knot breeze the Bladerider will speeds in excess of 25 knots!

The Bladerider is a light-weight, foiling sailboat with no trapeze or spinnaker, a combination that allows for super high speed without much complexity. Getting up and - foiling is about balance and skill - not strength.

Bladerider RX:

The RX is the most affordable high performance carbon fiber hydrofoil Moth on the market and is aimed at newcomers that want to get into foiling or Moth racing.

Once owners are familiar with their boat, we highly encourage experimentation of different wand gearing, wand stiffness, battens, foil angles, rake, rig tension, ropes or even vang purchase systems to suit their weight, wind conditions or sailing style. here are no upgrade options with the RX, however customers can easily update their boats with a different sail or mast later on.

Specifications:

* Hull Design: 3.355m in overall length with a fine bow, straight rocker, flat bottom, square chines and low freeboard. Volume has been kept in the stern for a cleaner lift-off.

* Hull Construction: Vacuum infused 3k carbon foam sandwich hull with a black gel-coat finish and a aluminum wing cover track. The cockpit grip is an aggressive non-slip material, stuck on for easy replacement later on if necessary.

* Wing Frame: The new carbon tube wing frame with molded corners not only helps reduce the overall cost of the boat, but it also improves the durability and stiffness of the whole structure dramatically. The wing covers are made from reliable Dacron material with internal air bags to help beginners with capsize recovery. In addition the unique self-tensioning design, allows for a very quick assembly out of the box.

* Hydrofoils: Black two piece, high-lift pre-preg carbon hydrofoils fitted to pre-preg carbon centerboard and rudder, purpose-designed for

* Rudder Gantry: The supplied gantry is made from anodized aluminum tubing maintain a low weight, but being much stronger and stiffer.

* Rig: A stiffer 50mm mast is supplied giving more power and better control of the head in the sail. The gooseneck of the boom has also been improved for better fitting and clearing of the downhaul pulleys.

* Sail: One design 8.0m Bladerider sail (International Moth compliant) made from X-ply and Dacron

* Spreaders: The supplied spreaders/prodder are made from anodized aluminum tubing maintaining a low weight with far greater strength and reliability

* Rope & Fittings: Complete Ronstan fitout including new Orbit mainsheet blocks and FSE Robline ropes.

There are few better spectacles in sailing than a fleet of Moths flying over the water on hydrofoils in as little as 6 knots of wind. Every race event attracts a crowd of onlookers! Due to the rapid acceleration and high speeds involved, the placings in any race can never be a certainty until the very end.
